This unit is a self-contained, mobile steam cleaner designed to
eradicate weeds in an environmentally safe way by not using harmful chemicals. (Click the
picture above on the right to see an example.) The S2D250TTM produces 2 GPM
saturated steam at 280F (212F after discharge) and 60 PSI at the nozzle. The high
temperature produced by the steam cleaner kills the weeds and the low pressure reduces
disturbance to landscape material like bark and rocks. The steam cleaner portion of the
package is third party certified by ETL to UL 1776 standards. The unit runs off of
115V/1Ph/60Hz electrical power supplied by a 3 KW gasoline engine generator.
Heating the water using #2 diesel fuel in the burner produces the steam. A 125-gallon
polyethylene water storage tank provides the water source for the unit. A trigger shut-off
gun and 100' of steam hose mounted on a manual crank hose reel come with the unit. The
entire package is mounted on an over the road two wheel trailer with leaf springs, lights,
and wiring package for portability.
An optional steam rake can be purchased with the unit to allow the operator to cover a
24" area in a single pass. This unit consists of a 24" distribution bar with
multiple orifices, 4"x8" semi-pneumatic tires, and a
trigger shut-off gun with 36" extension.
